A Zillion Gold Fish....

A few yrs back...a friend brought some goldfish and put in our natural spring open tank to help keep it clean. A big rain came and washed them downstream into the pond. Time goes by and guess what happens? The grand kids asked, 'Nanny, how many do u think r in that pond?" My answer...probably a zillion! So now we have a true goldfish pond behind the house. We have been feeding them every evening since Sat, when we stocked the new pond. So it is now a family affair to feed 'the fish'. We load up on 4 wheelers and golf buggies and buckets of feed.

Everybody should raise broilers to appreciate the chicken at Wendy's, Sonic or etc!! With temps reaching 103 next week and chickens only days from selling means a lot of fun! Chickens ready for market at 7 lbs (hopefully) and HOT temps just don't mix. And we need a good rain. Our road is so dusty and busy.

The Granddaughters, Pa and Nanny had a 'giggle party' last week. What fun but not much sleep by Nanny or the girls. Giggle party #2 is now under our belt!

I saw a friend today in the store. Now I am not much of a hugger but Brenda M. gives the best hugs like she really is glad to see u. She lost her Dad last year and has since retired from her job after a stay in the hospital with pneumonia. I wish I would have known Brenda and her sister years ago. They r both sweethearts.

Must go feed the fish! 'Here Cats'.....
